We made it to Mardi Gras 2015 – got to the parade site super early to set up our spot and it was already packed with claimed spots. We managed to set up a tent and a bunch of chairs. Brent had prepared lots of food for the day and we had bbq and lots of snacks throughout the day.
The number of people watching the parade was nuts – we went for the ‘Big’ parade, Bacchus, and I imagine there were well over 100,000 people there in the crowds. There were rows of ladders with seats on top lined up along the parade route for kids to sit on, it pretty much blocked any view you could have. We still got lots of beads and treasures from the day.
